Committees

To support sustainable growth and shared leadership, we formed three active committees—Education, Events, and Christmas Is For Kids (CIFK). These committees play a critical role in advancing our mission by providing insight, recommendations, and strategic input to inform board decision-making.

Education

This committee guides youth programming, workshops, and partnerships. Members include Courtney Kenny (Easton Public Schools, History Teacher), Angela Lesure (Beatrice H. Wood Elementary School, Nurse), Camille Schulman (volunteer, educator), April Simmons (Plainville parent & para), Jenisys Simmons (Lead Teacher for Nicky O Afterschool), and Catherine Stoddard (Boston Public Schools, Telescope Networker).

Events

This committee strengthens fundraising & community engagement. Members include Sarah Achin, Nicole Amichetti, Aaron Chauncey, Stacie Hopkins, Eduarda (Edi) Janeiro, and Maria Latshaw.

Christmas is For Kids

This committee oversees planning, volunteer coordination, and continuous improvement of our largest annual initiative. Members include Lucie Xavier-Andrade, Rick Carlson, Tracey Carlson, Deb Jeram, Stacey Hopkins, Arlene Sweich, Bob Vachon, and Brenna Vachon.
