Nicky O Foundation

Nicky O'Neill was the youngest victim of The Station nightclub fire. Nicky was only 18 years old. He is the son of Dave Kane, a founding member of the Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children. At the request of Nicky's parents, the Nicky O Foundation was created to honor Nicky.

Music was a big part of Nicky O'Neill's life, and his outgoing personality touched the lives of many others. As a fitting tribute, the Nicky O Foundation was created to support the musical talents of young people who otherwise would have no opportunity to pursue their musical aspirations and assist them in realizing their dreams.

The Foundation raises funds that provide scholarships in the music and performing arts to talented young musicians and performers. These donated funds will be used for, but not limited to, the financing of music lessons, the rental or purchase of musical instruments, or financing acting classes or camps focused on the arts.

Nicky O Afterschool

Nicky O Afterschool was created to honor the creative spirit and compassion of Nicky by providing free, enriching opportunities for local children—aligning with our mission to uplift and support youth through access, inclusion, and community-centered care. Nicky O Afterschool was piloted with Plainville Public Schools in spring of 2025 with great success.

Volunteer Opportunity: Lead Teacher

The Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children is seeking a compassionate and creative artist to serve as the Lead Art Teacher for the Nicky O Afterschool Program — a free, arts-based program serving elementary students in the Greater Attleboro Area.

About the Program:
Nicky was a gifted musician, writer and actor who brought warmth, humor, and creativity to everything he did. Nicky O Afterschool honors his legacy by offering a safe, supportive space where children can express themselves, build confidence, and discover joy through the arts.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a volunteer who is:
